Hi I’m John! 

I am from Detroit, Michigan in America, but I have lived in Japan for 32 years. 

I have taught English at Ark for many years. I think English is a good thing to learn. I hope you enjoy your classes at Ark and improve your English. I look forward to teaching you!

I'm from America. I like cooking, playing guitar, and playing with kids. I want to help people thrive in their English ability by providing them with high quality English education.

Hi! I'm Lana. I grew up in Slovakia, attending an international school that shaped my global perspective. I've also spent five years studying in Ohio and working in New York City. I love working with children, and I'm passionate about creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for them to learn and thrive.

My name is Alisa.
I am Australian-Japanese and lived in Melbourne, Australia for 14 years.
As a linguistics major, I am very passionate about language education and have 7 years of teaching experience.
I look forward to meeting you and hope I can help you to reach your English goals!

Leny Valle

Hello! I’m Leny. Originally I’m from Philippines but now living happily in Japan.
I like reading, listening to Gospel music, travelling and going to “onsen”.
Teaching Bible studies and English language became my passion.
I hope to share with you my knowledge of speaking English fluently
via Ark School.

Speaking and understanding English will allow one to communicate effectively
in so many parts of the world and in turn be able to explore and travel confidently
to other countries.
I believe Ark School will be able to meet your needs to study English efficiently.

Lauren Kojio

Hello! My name is Lauren. I am from America. I was born in the beautiful Washington state, not too far from Seattle. But I have spent most of my life in California. I became interested in Japanese culture after high school, and I felt God calling me to go to Japan. Because of my interest in Japan, I met the man who is now my husband.

Learning a foreign language opens up doors that you wouldn’t expect. If my husband didn’t learn English and if I didn’t learn Japanese, then we probably would have never met. I feel blessed that I can help others through teaching English. I pray that it opens doors to an amazing future for my students, just like it did for me.

永福小・向陽中卒業。アメリカイリノイ州現地高校・イリノイ州立大学卒業後帰国、アパレルメーカーでインポートブランドの企画担当。一児の母。

高校卒業後に渡米。帰国後は日本語教師をしていました。
生徒の皆さまが楽しく安心してアークに通えるよう、サポートさせていただきます。
アークで学び始めて間もない子供たちが、いつの間にか先生と自然に英語でやりとりしていたり、その成長に日々驚かされています。
